Northbridge boards discuss Quaker Street Landfill remediation. A joint meeting of the Board of Health, Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, and Conservation Commission outlined two-part remediation of contamination discovered in 2018: a $6.807 million public water supply extension to 41 residences already underway with Whitinsville Water Company, and a proposed COMM-97 soil remediation approach requiring a bylaw amendment for the October 2026 town meeting, with estimated clean-soil costs at $10 million. All activity remains subject to MADEP review and approval.
