Board of Health grants pizza restaurant permit on equipment repairs
Board of Health · Meeting of February 9, 2026
NORTHBRIDGE — Board of Health grants Northbridge House of Pizza food permit under new ownership. Chair Lani Criasia and members Chris Cella, Steve Garabedian, Linda Lermond, and Erin Meagher voted unanimously to approve the permit conditioned on correction of violations found in a pre-opening inspection, including repair or removal of a non-functioning gluten-free freezer and a damaged prep station gasket. The board noted that owner Amir Roufail is the only staff member currently holding food manager certification; staff member Victoria Beshay stated she hoped to obtain certification within four months.
In separate unanimous votes, the board approved a Salmon VNA public health nursing contract for FY 2027 at $11,000 and returned $6,920.54 in unexpended technical fees to the Berkowitz applicant.
