NORTHBRIDGE — Whitinsville-Downtown Crossroads Historic District Commission reorganizes, making Bryan Booker Chair. The motion passed unanimously, moving Mark DeWeerd to Member and elevating Ethan Drutchas to Vice Chair and Ellen Scheible to Secretary. In project updates, the Aldrich School restoration secured Phase I grants with contractor work begun in late January; a groundbreaking is set for February 19.
The Fletcher House initiative is pursuing Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund and Community Preservation Committee funding for Phase I exterior work after a January 26 architect meeting. The commission deferred Heritage Day 2026 date selection pending review of local-event conflicts.
