Whitinsville-Downtown Crossroads Commission sets Heritage Day for October 24

NORTHBRIDGE — Whitinsville-Downtown Crossroads Historic District Commission unanimously schedules Heritage Day for October 24. The commission voted to partner with the George Marston Whitin Memorial Community Center on an evening event, with Kelley Gamble tasked with contacting the center by March 6. Members approved a letter to community center director Heather Elster regarding the Aldrich School renovation project and voted unanimously on prior meeting minutes.

Programming proposals include storytelling tied to local history, haunted trolley rides, and horse-drawn hearse rides. The commission plans to request Selectman approval and permits for alcohol sales, food trucks, and vendors.
