NORTHBRIDGE — The Whitinsville Social Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved a $1,000 credit card for Youth Services Librarian Jennifer McNeil. Chair Carol Brouwer and trustees Jack Walker, John Broulliard, Charlie Thompson, and Barbara Leonard also heard from Director Rebecca Sasseville about the retirement of staff member Janyce on September 2 and plans to hire a replacement, with Northbridge Selectboard approval targeted for September 14. The board discussed updates to the borrowing policy regarding out-of-state and decertified Massachusetts libraries.
Summer reading participation exceeded 100 adults and 200 children.
