Conservation Commission approves single-family house in wetland buffer zone.

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 1, 2026

NORTHBRIDGE — Conservation Commission approves house and septic system in wetland buffer. The board voted unanimously to issue a standard Order of Conditions for a single-family house on Monica Way Lot 26, where approximately half the structure and one-third of the septic system will be located within the 100-foot buffer zone of a bordering vegetated wetland. The applicant, D&F Afonso Builders, Inc., represented by Guerriere and Halnon, Inc., will install conservation markers and direct grading toward a detention pond for treatment.

In separate business, the Commission voted 4-0 to issue a Negative Determination of Applicability for the Church Avenue roadway reconstruction, finding the work exempt as it reconstructs the existing public roadway within its original footprint and replaces the existing waterline.
