Community Preservation Committee sponsors five warrant articles for spring town meeting.

Northbridge Community Preservation Committee unanimously sponsored five articles for the May 5 spring town meeting. Chair Glenn King moved approval of $78,000 in fiscal 2027 reserves split evenly among historic resources, community housing, and open space and recreation, plus $182,000 for general budget reserves and $10,000 for administrative expenses. The committee also advanced a $294,000 appropriation to Habitat for Humanity for a single-family or duplex unit on Quaker Street and $375,000 to the Playground and Recreation Committee for playground equipment at the Cross Street Tot Lot, alongside $118,550 in debt service for the Castle Hill Farm acquisition.
