Board of Health suspends Subway food permit over flooring violations.

NORTHBRIDGE — The Northbridge Board of Health unanimously suspended the food permit for Subway at 56 Church Street, citing persistent flooring defects that have remained unresolved since 2023. Chair Lani Criasia stated the Board does not recognize Subway Corporate's extended remodeling deadline of December 31, 2026, and directed owner Ghanjay Amin to close the establishment immediately pending professional repairs. The Board also unanimously approved a Trash Hauler License for Morvan Disposal and noted that Amir Roufail, former owner of Northbridge House of Pizza, must complete a full food permit application and pass inspection before resuming operations.
The Board asked Administrator Jeanne M. Gniadek to investigate outstanding taxes and fees for Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation, which has not returned its 2026 permit renewal application.
